As The Multiverse Saga pushes forward, Mahershala Ali's Blade has taken a long time to become a reality. The reboot was announced all the way back in July 2019, when Ali made a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con to announce his involvement with the MCU.

As of right now, Marvel Studios has reportedly started searching for a new Blade director to take over for Demange. According to additional reports, the studio is not looking to rush the production in the hopes of prioritizing its quality, meaning that perhaps the creative vision for the film has not been finalized.
