"Black Widow," with Scarlett Johansson reprising her Avengers heroine, was originally set for May 1, then backburnered due to the outbreak. Now it's rescheduled for Nov. 6, causing a domino effect for the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's future.
"The Eternals" shifts from Nov. 6 to Feb. 12, 2021, and"Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" goes from Feb. 12, 2021, to May 7, 2021 – that date had been set for"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," which is now slated for Nov. 5. 2021. "Thor: Love and Thunder," previously dated for Nov. 5, 2021, moves to Feb. 18, 2022, and"Captain Marvel 2," starring Brie Larson, enters the fray with a July 8, 2022 date.
"Artemis Fowl," the adaptation of the Eoin Colfer young-adult novel originally scheduled for May 29, will debut later in the year on Disney+. And Indiana Jones fans got a little bit of bad news: The fifth installment, with Harrison Ford as the whip-cracking adventurer, is delayed a year from July 9, 2021, to July 29, 2022.
