The new trailer for Marvel Rivals Season 1 reveals the arrival of the Fantastic Four and a story centered around Dracula's attempt to plunge the world into eternal darkness.
The newest trailer delves into the story of the latest season of the game, titled “Eternal Night Falls,” which seems to focus all around Dracula attempting to cover the world in darkness. The end of the trailer sees members of the Fantastic Four fighting back as Dracula attacks the Baxter Building. Marvel Rivals’ Season 1 is set to kick off on January 10, 2025, at 4 a.m. ET, presumably with an entirely new Battle Pass as well as a new competitive season for players to begin ranking up in.
Alongside the inclusion of the Fantastic Four, Marvel Rivals Season 1 will include a brand new map based on New York City, which has been overrun by Dracula and his horde. As of right now, it’s unclear exactly how the Fantastic Four will fit into the game or what their character roles will be. It’s also unclear whether or not the group will arrive as a whole on January 10, or whether or not they will released throughout the entirety of Season 1. “Darkness engulfs New York as the Timestream Entanglement leaves Doctor Strange trapped in the Entangled Astral Plane, scattering the Darkhold pages,” reads the description for Season 1. “Dracula and Doctor Doom disrupt the moon’s orbit, plunging the city into eternal night and unleashing an army of vampiric creatures. With the world on the brink, the Fantastic Four join forces with iconic Marvel heroes, standing together in the epic battle to break the mystical darkness with science. Ignite the battle against Dracula with the Fantastic Four in Marvel Rivals!
