Marumo Gallants have deserted their chase of Congolese forward Roland Teddy Okouri despite acquiring a work permit for him.

However, weeks on the club has chosen to abandon completing his registration with the matter relating to payment of a Libyan hotel owner who facilitated their travels and accommodation for their CAF Confederation Cup match against Al-Akhdar having taken priority. This has meant Okouri has ultimately been allowed to go back home after ‘idling’ for almost two months.

While in South Africa, Okouri has missed out on playing for Congo’s Under-23 national team who knocked out South Africa over two legs in the qualifiers for the AFCON Under-23 finals .Lolala is a Congolese born in Switzerland and was most recently in the books of Hetten FC in Saudi Arabia where he terminated his contract in December.
