Leonardo DiCaprio as Ernest Burkhart in Killers of the Flower Moon
Martin Scorsese's next projects are reportedly stalled. The prolific director has been behind numerous acclaimed films, including Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, After Hours, and The Last Waltz. Scorsese's most recent feature movie was Killers of the Flower Moon, a 3.5-hour epic drama that told the story of oil being discovered on Osage Nation land in the 1920s, and the horrific murders that ensued as a result.
What Are Scorsese's Two Projects? These Projects Included The Life of Jesus & A Frank Sinatra Project The first project that was supposed to be filming was The Life of Jesus. The project was announced in 2022, but production was delayed due to the Hollywood writers' strike, among other issues. The film is based on Shūsaku Endō’s novel that explores the divine and human aspects of Jesus Christ.
Scorsese's other film was a biopic of singer Frank Sinatra. That film was rumored to star his frequent collaborator DiCaprio alongside Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence and would focus on the rocky relationship between Sinatra and Ava Gardner, to whom he was married for some time. With the most recent news, the future for both the Sinatra biopic and The Life of Jesus is now uncertain.
