The five star hotel is due to open in 2025
The developer behind the new Bedford Hotel in Belfast City Centre has appointed Focus Hotels to run the five-star establishment when it opens in 2025.
North west-based Martin Property Group is developing the new hotel which will be based in the listed Scottish Mutual Building on Donegal Square South in the city. The group is behind a number of shopping centres, office and residential developments across Northern Ireland and in other parts of the UK.“We are delighted to be partnering with Focus Hotels to bring The Bedford Hotel to Belfast’s evolving hospitality landscape,” he said.
“We greatly look forward to opening the hotel in 2025, guided by the expertise and insight of the Focus team.” Focus Group operates hotels across the UK, working with brands such as Hilton, Marriott, IHG and Accor as well as a host of independent owners. “Securing the management contract for The Bedford Hotel is a significant achievement for Focus Hotels,” Devin Grosse, CEO of Focus Hotels. “We are honoured to be part of this prestigious project and are committed to leveraging our expertise to craft an unparalleled guest experience.The building was previously being developed by an offshoot of Signature Living, owned by Liverpool-based developer Lawrence Kenwright, into a George Best-themed hotel before the project fell into administration.
