It's good news
With snow currently on the ground in many parts of the UK, thoughts could be turning to holidays. Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has briefly turned his attention away from energy bills to give fans the heads up on a potential holiday saving on the horizon.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, March 9, the consumer champion said "Heads up. Uber Cheap Easyjet flights likely to be launched on Thursday...". Great news for anybody planning to go on holiday in 2023/24. Over on the financial guru's website, MoneySavingExpert.com, an explanation followed. It said several tranches of sale tickets are released throughout the year and tickets for December 1, 2023 to March 23, 2024 are due to go on sale on Thursday. However, it added a word of caution saying that Easyjet's press office had stated: "On sale dates the system is always exceptionally busy.
Martin Lewis followers were ready to pounce on the deals. One person responding to Martin's tweet wrote: "Been up all night looking for flights following your advice and they’re not released". Another wrote: "Worst thing I could have read as love a cheap weekend away flight so tomorrow could end up booking a few".
Others responding to the tweet, said: "Good for places like Canaries in December & ski resorts in Feb when prices become extortionate, although we've found flights to cities don't tend to vary much e.g. we booked cheap flights to Copenhagen just a few months before."
