MoneySavingExpert founder Martin Lewis has outlined some of his top tips for keeping warm during the winter months without having to put your central heating on

As temperatures continue to drop across the UK, many are looking for ways to stay warm without having to put their central hearting on this winter.

During a recent episode of his ITV programme, The Martin Lewis Money Show, the financial journalist revealed his team had been researching ways to “heat the human and not the home”. A hot water costs around 7p per hour to use, while a microwavable wheat bag will set you back by just 1p per hour.
