Martin Lewis has issued a blunt three-word warning to DWP benefits claimants: "do not ignore". The renowned money-saving guru is drawing attention to a significant shift that might cause thousands of beneficiaries to miss out on payments if overlooked.
To consolidate the welfare system, the Government, in 2012, chose to combine six different benefits into the single, means-tested Universal Credit. Following various initial test phases throughout 2019, the overhaul was fully implemented by November 2022.
