The Money Saving Expert has reminded families who get free school meals they may need to reapply before the start of the new school year
Parents of school-aged children who are on a low income or claim certain benefits have been reminded to reapply for free school meals before the new school term starts. While all primary school children in key stage 1 receive free school meals, from key stage 2, free school meals are means-tested.
And Martin Lewis has issued a timely reminder to families to apply as pupils get ready to go back to school.
