Martin Compston's Mayflies has been nominated for 'Best Drama Mini Series' at the Broadcasting Press Guild awards, with the actor taking to social media to share the great news.
After seeing the reviews flood in for the show, Martin took to Instagram back in December and said: "Hard to put in to words the gratitude we all feel for the reaction to the show."Anyone at all reaching out always lovely but heartfelt thank you particularly to those in the midst of a diagnosis and those dealing with their grief in the aftermath. Power to you.
The television show, which also stars Tony Curran and Ashley Jensen, tells the story about the power of love and friendship - as well as a tragedy as it follows lifelong friends Jimmy and Tully [Curran], as they come to terms with the news that Tully has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
