Martin Compston and Phil MacHugh have officially wrapped up filming for series two of their hit travel TV show with fans eager to see the pair on our screens again.
Called the Northern Fling, the second series is the sequel to Martin Compston’s Scottish Fling, which followed the energetic duo across Scotland trying traditions - new and old - from classic Scots dishes to dancing. Now, in Martin Compston’s Northern Fling, the Line of Duty actor will embark on an epic Northern adventure - searching for all that it means to be from the 'North' starting in Shetland.
Compston, alongside Glaswegian presenter MacHugh, will then travel the length of Norway to lift the lid on what we can learn from the most Northern of our Scandinavian neighbours.Taking to X, formerly branded as Twitter, the presenter said: "It’s a wrap @martin_compston @TernTelevision. Final day in the sound booth recording voice overs for our next @BBC travel series! #GoingNorth The second series will have six episodes each lasting 30 minutes.
