Episode 7 of The Agency sees Martian forced to make a difficult choice to protect his daughter Poppy and his secret lover Sami. His actions put him at odds with his demanding job and lead to a shocking cliffhanger.
Episode 7 of the Paramount+ espionage series, The Agency , marked a huge turning point for Martian , who has spent the series so far hiding secrets and avoiding escalating dangers around him. In the episode, Martian is forced to make a pivotal decision in order to protect the two women he loves the most — his daughter Poppy and Sami , who he has been having an affair with in secret.
Now concerned for his daughter's safety, Martian asks Poppy to stay in their apartment, which she agrees to at first. To be safe, he asks Dozer , one of his field team members, to tail Poppy if she leaves. It turns out to be a wise decision, as Poppy is almost abducted by a Chinese agent but is rescued just in time by Dozer. When Martian learns that Poppy was nearly kidnapped, he realizes that it's time to tell his superiors about Sami being in London.
Posts 'The Agency' Episode 7 Marks a Point of No Return for Martian and Sami When questioned about how Martian and Sami reconnected in London, he lies and says that he accidentally bumped into her while taking Poppy to a museum, something he asks his daughter to corroborate. Martian gives some partial truths and successfully is able to answer all of Henry's questions on the fly. Henry debriefs Bosko , who agrees Martian should pursue the plan and bring Sami in to interrogate her.
The episode is left on that cliffhanger with the uncertainty of Martian and Sami's futures in the balance. Is Martian serious about bringing her in as an asset or does he have another plan up his sleeve? How will Sami react to what Martian has to say, especially if he comes clean about who he really is? One thing is clear: this moment marks a point of no return for both of them moving forward.
