Alabama postpones some concerts after the death of lead singer Randy Owen's mother.
The Berglund Center, a Virginia venue where Alabama was set to perform on Friday, announced Martha Owen’s death on itsMartha Owen is the mother of Randy Owen, the lead singer of the country band Alabama and a native of Fort Payne.
The Rainsville Community Church in Rainsville will host Martha Owen’s visitation on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Her funeral is scheduled for Monday; a time has not been set yet. Randy Owen founded the group along with his cousins and fellow Fort Payne natives Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook.
