The former Conservative MP has disputed the allegations reported in The Times, including that he rang a former staff member at 3.15am to ask for money after being locked in a flat by 'bad people'.
Conservative peer Ruth Davidson does not think Mark Menzies will survive the week as an MP. The ex-Tory MP for Fylde in Lancashire is being investigated by his party over reports in The Times that he misused campaign funds. Mr Menzies disputes the allegations but the Conservative Party said it is taking them 'seriously' and 'will always investigate matters put to them'.
