Besides the series’ villain, Mark Hamill voices another Avatar character whose differences from Fire Lord Ozai stress the show’s theme of balance.
Mark Hamill plays one pretty iconic character in Avatar: The Last Airbender, but he voices another lesser-known character that lives in the Spirit World as well. Hamill’s biggest role in the series was notably Fire Lord Ozai, the big bad villain that Aang has to stop from taking over the world. While Ozai is the ultimate antagonist of the show, Mark Hamill’s other character is an odd spirit that perfectly personifies the puzzling nature of the Spirit World.
Who Is Mark Hamill's Baboon Spirit In Avatar: The Last Airbender? The baboon spirit that is briefly shown in season 1, episode 20, “The Siege of the North: Part 2” is not a recurring character in the show, but he does set up the Spirit World in a fun yet ominous way. When Aang politely asks for help, the Baboon Spirit dismisses his request entirely as he returns to his meditation and suggests Aang follow a Spirit World firefly instead.
