Star Wars actor Mark Hamill defended Joe Biden after the president's dismal performance during the first presidential debate on Thursday.President Biden faced off against Donald Trump ahead of November's election with many commentators citing concerns over his performance, including noting that his voice sounded hoarse throughout the debate. An aide for the president told Newsweek late Thursday night that the president has been battling a cold.
It is not the first time the actor has shared his thoughts on politics: he recently slammed Trump during his hush money trial in Manhattan.Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection to hush money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election to buy her silence over their alleged affair. Trump, who pleaded not guilty to the charges and denied the affair, has vowed to appeal the verdict.
