SPCG bertindak melampau, mengganggu serta merosakkan peralatan nelayan tempatan menunjukkan sikap tidak menghormati kedaulatan maritim jiran.

PUTRAJAYA: Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia membantah tegas tindakan agensi penguat kuasa asing iaitu Singapore Police Coast Guard yang dipercayai memasuki perairan Malaysia pada 14 Ogos lalu.

Berdasarkan laporan yang diterima, beliau berkata, nelayan terbabit membuat aduan kepada pihak polis berkaitan insiden pihak SPCG melanggar pukat beliau di kedudukan 0.2 batu nautika di Barat Daya Tuas Checkpoint. “Maklum balas pihak JUPEM mengesahkan bahawa lokasi kejadian yang dilaporkan oleh pengadu jelas berada di dalam perairan Laut Wilayah Malaysia berhampiran jambatan Laluan Kedua Malaysia-Singapura ,”katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
