Officers detained the suspects after a reported theft Friday evening at the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. Police found thousands of dollars worth of stolen items and suspected drugs in their vehicle and linked the suspects to thefts from stores in the Bay Area, Sgt. Wes Carroll said.

The suspects are Stephen Edwards, 34, of Eureka; Amanda Edwards-Evers, 46, of Eureka; and Said El Jamali, 33, of Mountain View. They were booked on suspicion of organized retail theft with the intent to sell stolen goods, and Edwards was also booked on suspicion of possessing fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, according to jail records.Crime and Public Safety |Edwards and Jamali were charged with conspiracy, burglary and shoplifting, according to court records.

Edwards-Evers has been released without charges pending further investigation, Marin sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Schermerhorn said.
