The dedicated students, in the middle of their summer break, are building on their love of mariachi music."I love mariachi," Salinas-McCoy said."I practice every day." As for Perez, he is driving every day from Pflugerville, and said he doesn't have a mariachi program at his school. The students said this is an experience that's truly sharpening their skills that they will be able to really utilize in the future."Mariachi isn't just a phase," Perez said."It is going to be a way of life."
