In her “Miami Vice” suit and chunky sneakers, Margot Robbie has gone from Barbie to ’80s dad.
Margot Robbie has found new fashion inspiration, and it’s—your dad. The actor’s days of Pepto Bismol pink are behind her; now, she’s embracing neutrals and oversized suiting. Last week in Manhattan, Robbie opted for what my British Vogue colleague Daniel Rodgers referred to as “monochromatic greige” in an oversized blazer, ultra-light wash denim jeans, a khaki Yankees baseball cap, and a nude leather purse. This past weekend, Robbie traded Barbie for Miami Vice.
Over a body-hugging white top, she wore another greige ensemble, a billowing suit complete with a shoulder-padded blazer and wide-legged trousers. Leaning into the masculine look, she also accessorized with some dad-friendly pieces: a black baseball cap and chunky white New Balances. Leaving her New York hotel alongside her husband, Tom Ackerley, Robbie pushed a navy blue Away suitcase.
