A24 has purchased the domestic distribution rights to Victorian Psycho, a new horror movie starring Margaret Qualley and Thomasin McKenzie.

, who previously worked with Qualley on 2022’s Sanctuary. The film’s script is written by Virginia Feito, who also wrote the forthcoming novel of the same name that the movie is based on. Feito’s book will be released in February 2025., the domestic distribution rights to the Victorian Psycho have been purchased by A24. A release date has not yet been set, though production is expected to begin in March 2025.

A description of the book further reads, “Winifred Notty arrives at Ensor House prepared to play the perfect governess―she’ll dutifully tutor her charges, Drusilla and Andrew, tell them bedtime stories, and onlyabout eating children. But long, listless days spent within the estate’s dreary confines come with an intimate knowledge of the perversions and pathetic preoccupations of the Pounds family―Mr. Pounds can’t keep his eyes off Winifred’s chest, and Mrs.

In 2024, Qualley starred in Ethan Coen’s Drive-Away Dolls, Yorgos Lanthimos’ Kinds of Kindness, and Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance.
