Regarding her inspiration, she added,"Just a lot of personal stuff right now I'm wading through, processing, writing through. I'm giving myself the time to do that and not having to rush a very huge personal thing through an album being delivered. It's gonna take a little bit longer than I hoped but I have to trust the process."In her interview with ET, Morris chuckled when asked about being"single and ready to mingle" this year.
Speaking with ET, Morris admitted that she didn't always picture herself as a changemaker in the industry. "It wasn't, you know, as a 10-year-old, my dream to be, like, this maker of change or activist," she admitted."I think it was a byproduct of just being in an industry where it's predominantly white male. Even if you succeed as a woman in it there's a lot of strictures and barriers that -- you know, you only let like a few women in at a time and a certain year -- so I think just pushing back against that naturally is like a rebellious nature within me.
