New bodycam video footage reveals 34-year-old Marcus Jordan , son of NBA icon Michael Jordan, being arrested in Florida. According to an arrest affidavit and multiple media reports, Jordan was apprehended on Tuesday by the Maitland Police Department and booked into the Orange County Jail. Charges against him include DUI , property damage, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest without violence. Jordan was released a few hours after his arrest.
The released bodycam footage, spanning over an hour, captures the interaction between law enforcement and Jordan. The video seemingly shows Jordan behind the wheel of a blue car with an unidentified female passenger. 'Hang on,' a Maitland police officer is heard saying in the video. 'Hang on. You are stuck. Come here. You know trains come by right now, right?' 'I-I know,' Jordan responds. 'That's why I'm trying to get the (expletive) up and out of here.' As this happens, the female passenger rolls up the window and then back down. 'Your car ain't going nowhere, dude,' the officer says. 'You're buried. Bro, you're stuck on the track.' 'OK, so how do we get the (expletive) off the track?' Jordan replies. 'Honestly, I'm trying to figure that out,' the officer responds. The officer then instructs Jordan and the female passenger to exit the car due to an approaching train. Jordan and the passenger eventually comply. The officers tell Jordan to keep his hands out of his pockets and proceed to conduct a pat-down. 'Bro, I'm Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan's son,' Jordan states. 'I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just trying to get home and I made a wrong turn. And clearly, we would like to get our car off the (expletive) train tracks.' At another point, an officer explains to Jordan that he has concerns about his impairment, as well as his slurred speech. 'I appreciate your concerns, but I am not inebriated,' he tells the officer. According to an official arrest affidavit, Maitland officers were traveling eastbound on Greenwood Road, near Mechanic Street, around 1:14 a.m. on February 4, when they observed a car with its headlights on, facing southbound on the railroad tracks. Through investigation, officers discovered the car had just fled from a traffic stop initiated by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office. Officers stated they detected the smell of alcohol coming from the car, and the person in the driver's seat, identified as Jordan, was slurring his words and had bloodshot eyes. Jordan claimed he had taken a wrong turn and needed help getting his car off the tracks, according to reports. Police said Jordan refused to exit the car until officers ordered him and a passenger out. Jordan told police he was coming from several venues in the Winter Park and Casselberry area, most recently Rachel's Gentleman's Club, officials said. Following a series of sobriety tests, officers said they arrested Jordan for DUI. Police stated Jordan would not comply with being walked to the patrol car and refused to get in. Records show officers also searched Jordan and found cocaine in his pants pocket. Hours after his arrest, Jordan was released from the Orange County Jail. He did not respond to reporters' questions as he walked to and left in a Lamborghini, according to FOX 35's Caroline Coles. Records indicate Jordan played basketball for the University of Central Florida from 2009 to 2012. After leaving UCF, Jordan graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Rosen College of Hospitality Management in 2013. Jordan is known for previously dating Larisa Pippen, the ex-wife of his father's teammate, Scottie Pippen. However, the couple broke up in 2024 after about two years of dating. According to FOX News, Jordan has had a prior encounter with law enforcement. Records show he pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in 2012 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was also charged with obstructing a police officer, but the charge was dropped as part of a plea agreement, according to reports
