on Wednesday said the government's Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program is 'necessary' but admitted its implementation was not good.Marcos issued the statement as he expressed hope that the week-long transport strike would not push through as this would adversely affect commuters.'Ngayon, sa issue sa modernization na sinasabi, sa aking palagay, ay kailangan ding gawin talaga 'yan.
Marcos said that there is a need to 'look properly at what the real timetable is for the introduction of electric vehicles.'He cited the need to build up the 'infrastructures' when it comes to PUV modernization.'Kung talagang kailan-- kung pwede na ngayon-- palagay ko hindi pa pwede ngayon, 30 percent pa lang ng power natin is renewable, eh. So hindi pa urgent sa ngayon. Hindi pa kaya ng imprastraktura natin. So we have to build that up,' Marcos said.
