President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. has directed a round-the-clock deployment of teams from the Bureau of Customs and the Department of Agriculture to guarantee an uninterrupted shipment process across the country. During the 4th meeting with the Private Sector Advisory Council – Infrastructure Sector Group on Wednesday, Marcos underscored the importance of non-stop shipment process to accommodate the arrival of more ships into the country.
Marcos made the remarks following the recommendation of the PSAC to let the BOC and the DA produce a shifting schedule to ensure 24/7 operations across all government services relating to logistics and supply chains. The PSAC said the process would ensure continuous inspection, clearance, and payment process, and will also reduce costs and time, particularly on the x-ray scanning operations of the BOC and DA’s offices tasked to inspect reefer vans.
