President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. appointed two new officials of the Office of the Press Secretary, the OPS said on Saturday., the OPS showed photos of Marcos administering the oath of office to Cherbett Karen L. Maralit and Francisco P. Rodriguez III as undersecretary and assistant secretary, respectively.
Maralit served as chief of staff to former Senate Minority Leader and now Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile and Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda, while Rodriguez was the President's head writer during the previous presidential campaign.
