President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr on Friday kicked off the government's food stamp program here, just as he emphasized the need to provide balanced nutrition to all Filipinos.
SURIGAO DEL NORTE — President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr on Friday kicked off the government's food stamp program in Surigao del Norte.
Marcos and Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian distributed the electronic benefit transfer cards loaded with P3,000 food credits, which beneficiaries are supposed to use to buy food. After the event, Marcos, Jr. proceeded to Dapa, Surigao del Norte to distribute sacks of rice to a number of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries.
“Eto na ngayon ang naging resulta. Marami na tayong nakikita na, narinig na mga warehouse, na hindi makapagbigay ng pruweba na ligal ang pag-import, ay kinuha na ng pamahalaan," he said.
