Marco Antonio Solis' final El MAS Querido show was a heartfelt family affair.
With a trajectory that spans almost five decades,
proved that he’s still quite the showman during his concert on Saturday at the American Airlines Arena in Miami -- the last stop of his“Thank you for always being here,” the Mexican crooner told the sold-out venue as he kicked off his show wearing white boots, white pants, and a bedazzled custom-made jacket that had sparkly studs and his initials, MAS, on the back.
Bringing the biggest hits of his nearly 50-year career, Solis, a.k.a. El Buki, performed some of his timeless classics including “Si Te Pudiera Mentir,” “O Me Voy o Te Vas,” “Tu Carcel,” “No Hay Hombre Perfecto,” “A Que Me Quedo Contigo,” “Como Fui A Enamorarme de Ti,” “Mi Eterno Amor Secreto,” “El Perdedor,” and “Morenita” to name few. Solis bid farewell to his Miami fans with tracks “La Venia Bendita,” “Mas Que Tu Amigo,” and “Cuando Te Acuerdes de Mi.
Besides his loyal fans, Solis was accompanied by four beautiful dancers and an energetic 16-member band that included two pianists and two drummers. Solis’ Miami show was originally going to take place on August 31 but was postponed due to Hurricane Dorian. At 59 years old, Solis is still the same showman he was as when he kicked off his career in the ‘70s. His vocals and lyrics still give fans a sense of nostalgia. His dance moves are still on point.
