Met Office weather maps show what time Greater Manchester is expected to be hit by more snow tonight
Snow will begin falling tonight in some boroughs, with more to come tomorrow morning . A yellow weather warning was issued by forecasters this morning , which will come into effect later today.
The warning covers all of Greater Manchester, and the rest of the north of England. Mainland Scotland is also affected, as is most of Wales and parts of the Midlands. The darkest shade of blue shows more than 4mm of rain per hour, light blue shows between 0.5 to 4mm of rain per hour and the lightest shade shows less than 0.5mm of rainfall. Dark grey represents more than 4mm of snowfall per hour, light grey shows between 0.5 and 4mm and white represents less than 0.5mm.
2am There will be plenty of rain across Manchester from 2am, with some snow moving in across Wigan, Bolton and Rochdale.
