MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio - A 24-year-old motorcyclist is accused of leading Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers on a high speed chase through multiple counties last weekend.
According to Sergeant Bridget Matt, troopers attempted to stop Charles Medley III on I-271 in Medina Township around 10 p.m. on Aug. 9 for speeding and equipment violations.OSHP’s Aviation unit began monitoring Medley, while he continued through multiple counties, said Sergeant Matt. Around 10:44 p.m., Sergeant Matt said Medley exited the highway and came to a stop on Maple Heights Boulevard in Maple Heights, where he was taken into custody without incident.He also faces additional charges of reckless operation, failure to display license plates, failure to display lights, driving under suspension, and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement.
