A Baptist pastor was fatally shot after he stopped to help a man who had wrecked a motorcycle.
Of the four prisoners who fled a Mississippi jail early Sunday, one was found dead in a burning home and another was seen in a Houston minimart, officials say.Casey Grayson, 24, accused of grand larceny and a drug chargeJerry Raynes, 51, accused of car theft and burglary, April 23: The men are thought to have climbed through a hole and gotten onto the roof at Raymond Detention Center sometime between the 12:30 a.m. headcount and about 2:30 a.m.
The stolen maintenance truck was found nearby, parked under the Katy Freeway . The drive from Raymond was about 400 miles., April 24: Around 7 p.m. Monday, police found Anthony Watts fatally shot on a freeway frontage road at the south edge of Jackson. The 61-year-old Baptist pastor had reportedly stopped to help a man who had wrecked a motorcycle. That man — thought to have been Dylan Arrington — shot Watts and stole his Dodge Ram pickup.
