In it's latest figures, Stats SA reports that all ten manufacturing divisions recorded negative growth rates.
In April, manufacturing production fell by almost 50 percent, surpassing the worst decline previously reported during the financial crisis in 2009.While factory production was up almost 17 percent in June, it declined by just over 30 percent in the second quarter due to lockdown restrictions.
