Manthey has used its racing expertise to develop new aerodynamic and chassis modifications for the already extreme Porsche 911 GT2 RS.
The upgrades focus on the aerodynamics and chassis, rather than the powertrainThe 991-generation, offered from 2018-2020, is already among the fastest production cars around a racetrack, but there are still owners who want it to be faster.
Companies like Manthey-Racing are ready to deliver, having announced a new upgrade package for the car that focuses onKnown as the Manthey Kit, it can be ordered in the U.S. from Manthey-certified Porsche dealerships and costs $113,140, excluding taxes and installation. When installing the kit through the dealership, the factory warranty remains unaffected., which feature aerodiscs on the rear wheels.
Other upgrades include new coilovers developed using experience in racing 911s, new adjustable dampers , plus stainless steel brake lines. For the powertrain, an additional water tank for spray-cooling of the intercoolers allows an additional 2.3 gallons to be carried, meaning refills become less frequent. No changes have been made to the powertrain's output, though.
