Mantashe appealed to the party’s members and leaders to refrain from dragging the ANC down and to channel their energy and resources and intellectual capacity to strengthening the governing party and uniting so that it could win convincingly at this year’s polls. Furthermore, he said that should the commission of inquiry into state capture find him guilty, then he should face the law and be punished.
