On Wednesday, March 25, Christopher Michael Hottel was sentenced to two 10 years prison sentences, one for Manslaughter and one for Aggravated Assault causing Serious Bodily Injury.Hottel was initially arrested on Dec. 5, 2024, for multiple warrants relating to the death of then 29-year-old Alysa Claudia Graves. On July 12, 2023, Bexar County Deputies were dispatched to a field where Graves was found deceased, covered only by a piece of cardboard. A person of interest, identified as Hottell, was at the scene and claimed he and Graves were homeless and had slept in that location. He reported that they had been drinking the previous night, and upon waking up, he found Graves unresponsive. Hottell's account raised suspicions, particularly regarding injuries on Graves' face, which were consistent with trauma. Evidence collected during the investigation indicated a history of violence in their relationship, with previous incidents of assault reported.Christopher Michael Hottel will spend the remainder of his sentence in the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.BULVERDE, Texas - Hill College Prep High School has been put on lockdown.Principal Julie Wiley said in the alert that local law enforcement is on campus.
