Manly Wharf, at the gateway to Sydney’s popular northern beaches precinct, will undergo a revamp but the new owners, the Artemus Group, will consult the local community before making any major changes.
CBRE’s Simon Rooney and James Douglas negotiated the deal in 2023 on behalf of Robert Magid’s TMG Developments. TMG acquired the long-term leasehold in 1995, while Transport for NSW owns the original lease. The premium harbourfront site is a recognised international landmark which serves as the highly patronised gateway to Manly and Sydney’s northern beaches. About 2.5 million commuters and day trippers pass through the adjoining ferry and bus terminals each year.Artemus Group founders and directors Adam Flaskas and Paul Henry and chief executive Luke Fraser have said they are committed to working with the community in Manly on plans to elevate the wharf.
Henry said the focus was on engaging with the community, “so we’d encourage you to come down, say hello and share your stories with us”.
