The Manila City local government announced on Friday, Dec. 24, that it has deployed more than three million COVID-19 vaccines as of Dec. 22.
According to the Manila Public Information Office , the city has administered 3,000,250 vaccine doses, of which 1,582,869 received their first dose while 1,456,213 were fully vaccinated.
A total of116,346 minors aged 12-17 were given their first dose while 95,989 have been fully vaccinated.Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso had earlier announced that the local government has started preparing for the possible surge in Omicron cases. He recently met with the Manila Health Department and directors of the six district hospitals in the city.
