Detroit police are searching for 4 suspects in an incident that led to the disappearance of a 1-year-old child; they have since been found safe.
Detroit police are on the hunt for four men following a fatal shooting that triggered an Amber Alert for a missing 1-year-old child early Sunday morning.According to the police, four unidentified men in a gray Dodge Durango are suspected of attacking a couple, and fatally shooting the man in the area of Compass and Littlefield on Detroit's west side.'The suspects then took the child and fled the scene,' police wrote in a statement posted to Facebook.
In a separate incident, the police are also searching for a man in connection with the fatal shoting of 23-year-old police officer Mohamed Said in Melvindale, less than 10 miles from Detroit. Said's death was confirmed by his cousin, Mazen Saeed, to the Detroit Free Press.'It's tough, him being my cousin, it feels like it's a movie now,' Saeed told the outlet.
