JOHOR BARU: The marine police are currently hunting 10 people who are believed to have been involved in human trafficking activities in Johor.
Bukit Aman Marine Operations Force commander Senior Asst Comm Mohd Yusoff Mamat said that the name of the suspects have already been handed over to the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department for further action.
He added that the information was gathered through intelligence obtained by a marine police unit based in Klang, and said that his unit is ready to to give full cooperation to the Johor police or other states to ensure that there is no human trafficking in the country SAC Mohd Yusoff added that the police are also on the hunt for any corrupt officers and personnel colluding with the smuggling and human trafficking syndicates.
