Philippine para athletics wheelchair racer Jerrold Mangliwan has given the country its first silver medal in the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China on Tuesday.
During the final of the men's 100 meters T52 classification, he recorded a time of 18.65 seconds, which is his personal best.Japan's Tatuya Ito won the gold medal in this event, with a new Asian Para Games record time of 17.
41 seconds, while South Korea's Jeong Jong-dae won the bronze with the time of 18.67 seconds.The Philippines' para athletics captain will also compete in the 400m T52 event in these Games.As of this writing, the country now has one silver and two bronze medals in this edition of the Asian Para Games.
