Actress Mandy Moore criticizes Amazon for delivering a package to the charred remains of her in-laws' home destroyed in the Los Angeles wildfires.
In a shocking incident, actress Mandy Moore publicly criticized Amazon after one of their delivery drivers allegedly left a package at the charred remains of her in-laws' home, which was destroyed in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. Moore took to Instagram to express her disappointment, stating, 'Do better, Amazon . Can we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists? This is my mother and father-in-law's home. SMH.
' Amazon spokesperson Steve Kelly responded to the incident, confirming that they reached out to Moore through Instagram to apologize and request further information from her in-laws to investigate the matter thoroughly. Kelly asserted that the company had advised its delivery drivers in Southern California to exercise caution in wildfire-affected areas, particularly when delivering to damaged homes. This, however, did not seem to be the case in Moore's situation. The Moore family was deeply affected by the January wildfires. While the main part of their home survived the flames, Moore revealed that her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, lost his music studio, garage, and back house. The actress also shared on Instagram the tragic impact the fires had on their community, stating that 'Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in-laws, my brother and sister-in-law - 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends. Feeling weird survivor's guilt.'
