ICYMI: Mandryk: Sask. NDP already struggling with its own realities
If New Democrats are serious about ever governing this province again, some of them badly need to get over the notion they have a divine right to do so because of their moral or intellectual superiority.
It requires a lot of hard work, a lot of money, a lot of collective and individual discipline, and a lot of organization. The latter was underscored as recently as last week’s When the 98 per cent of us who don’t have a party membership card — or even a strong belief in any particular political party — are driven crazy by the two per cent that does, you can perhaps admire their commitment to a set of fervent beliefs.
Consider the tumble in the polls Premier Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party have taken because of their pandering to the irrational far right during the past six months of this pandemic.
