Manchester's new 'park in the skies' on top of iconic viaduct opens to public for first time
, opened to the public for the first time today for a 12-month trial.
Created by the National Trust, the team behind the project teamed up with a series of partners around the city, including the Museum of Science and Industry and City of Trees, who have all designed and planted their own garden patches. Visitors to the park will be able to go on guided tours, as well as using the space to socialise, learn about the structure, or simply escape from the pressures of city life.Visitors refuse to be deterred by the rain
