The acclaimed food writer declared the food to be 'absolutely, bell-ringingly delicious'
A Manchester restaurant has received a dazzling write-up in a national newspaper, just days after being recommended by the Michelin Guide.
Higher Ground was launched by the team behind Flawd at New Islington Marina earlier this year, and was brought to life by three friends who have worked at some of the best restaurants across the world. As Sitwell notes, seasonality plays a key role in their dishes and much of their produce grown in their own garden in Cheshire, and sits alongside meat from an associated farm, hand-rolled pasta and fresh fish and seafood cooked over coal.
It's the latest in a string of glowing reviews and accolades for the restaurant. Last week it joined 14 other Greater Manchester eateries commended by the Michelin Inspectors. Higher Ground joins fellow city centre dining spots Erst and Adam Reid at The French, as well as Osma in Prestwich in the Guide.
