Manchester Food and Drink Festival to take a year off - but awards will still go ahead

The Manchester Food and Drink Festival won’t happen in 2023. Organisers have revealed they’ll be taking a year off for the first time since the event started 25 years ago, bar missing a year due to the pandemic.

Festival director Alexa Stratton-Powell said: “After 25 years of staging the Manchester Food and Drink Festival we will be taking a break in 2023.“Creating the Festival is a labour of love and as a small team we wanted to take a breather and regroup ahead of bringing the Festival back in 2024. Over the years, the MFDF has brought a host of world-famous names to the city, with the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, Tom Kerridge and Michel Roux all having been guests of the festival in past years.
