A new service will operate four times a week to a major German city
A new service from Manchester Airport to a German city has launched as the country prepares to host UEFA Euro 2024. Eruowings’ first flight to Stuttgart departed on Thursday.
Launching ahead of the Euros, taking place this summer, the route gives fans easy access to Germany to take in the action. The service will operate four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays using an Airbus A319. Stuttgart is the third German destination Eurowings serves from Manchester, joining Dusseldorf and Hamburg. It is in addition to a range of other routes to Germany that other airlines operate from Manchester – meaning passengers heading to watch the football or just to visit the country will be spoilt for choice. The Stuttgart Arena is one of a number of grounds around Germany that will host games during Euro 2024 – including Scotland vs Hungary on 23 June and one of the quarter final matches.
It’s home to the Mercedes-Benz Museum and the Porsche Museum.Stuttgart also boasts an 18th-century castle, parks, and vineyards, so you can even take a wine tour. Manchester Airport Commercial Director Stephen Turner said: “We are proud to serve the people of the North with an ever-growing range of over 200 destinations built around what travellers from the region want. Germany is a hugely popular country with people from the North and with the Euros just around the corner that is only set to grow. Eurowings launching this new service is really exciting for us and our passengers.
