Passengers could face 'longer queues' at border control
Manchester Airport has warned holidaymakers that they could face “longer immigration queues” today as Border Force staff walk out. Workers with the Public and Commercial Service union are on strike until around 7am on March 16.
The Home Office has said that it is working closely with Border Force to “minimise disruption and delays” during the strike and that it had resources available to deploy to support the flow of travellers. The airport added that it did not expect any cancellations and that passengers will not need to change their travel plans.
