Here's what you need to do at Manchester Airport to ensure you pass through security without a hitch
Summer is a key travel period for Manchester Airport as thousands jet off for the school break. Last month it experienced its busiest July on record with 3.2million passengers either flying from or to the northern travel hub.
A significant number of these passengers - 70 percent - waited for less than five minutes, which means more time spent relaxing in the departures lounge and indulging in a spot of duty-free shopping. But delays at security can happen, often caused by the simplest of things such as not following the rules on liquids in your hand luggage.
