Isinara na ang kontrobersiyal na Captain's Peak Garden and Resort na itinayo sa Chocolate Hills sa Bohol matapos umani ng mga negatibong reaksyon sa netizens. Ang manager ng resort, iginiit na nakakuha sila ng kaukulang permit bago nila itinayo ang resort. At sa laki ng ginastos dito, umaasang hindi sila tuluyang maipapasara.
Ayon sa kapatid ni Buton na si Julieta Sablas, at namamahala sa resort, nabigyan sila ng kaukulang permit mula sa mga kinauukulang ahensiya bago nila ito itinayo na may kasamang malaking swimming pool. Noong nakaraang buwan lang ng Pebrero, idinaos pa sa resort ang swimming competition ng Bohol Provincial Meet 2024.
Noong Mayo 2023, kinilala ng United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization ang Chocolate Hills ng Bohol bilang first global geopark sa Pilipinas. Ayon sa Department of Tourism, may iba pang estruktura na itinayo sa Sagbayan at may campsite din sa Carmen.
